Looka Design

The Studio

Looka Design is a building design studio in Adelaide. Since 2000 we have designed homes, workplaces and places to gather across South Australia.

About

A small studio with a simple approach: understand the site, listen closely, and draw every detail with intent.

Led by principal designer Hank, we take each project from the first site visit through concept, design development and documentation. You deal directly with the people drawing your building.

Our work spans residential, commercial, tourism and conceptual projects — from family homes to cellar doors and distilleries across South Australia’s wine and food regions.

Ethos

Light first. Site always. Nothing added without a reason.

  1. 01

    Place

Every design starts on site. Orientation, views, slope and neighbours shape the first line we draw.

  2. 02

    Light

We plan around the sun — for comfort, lower running costs and rooms that feel good all day.

  3. 03

    Craft

Clear documentation and honest materials, so what gets built matches what was drawn.

How a project
unfolds.

Four clear stages, one point of contact. You always know what comes next and what it costs.
